Winston, I too was looking into the possibilty of making a teardrop camper trailer, but wasn't going to use checkerplate.
Like the way it extends to accommodate a single berth, would be interested in seeing some plans if available.
Does it have some of the ideas your van carries too?

White? What the hell for?? Blue is a much more superior colour.

I must admit I do like the blue ST1300, and would consider it if/when I can afford to upgrade..I'd probably buy x pol again and paint it a metallic soft baby blue just 2 B unique... :dred11
back to topic these are my survival kit.. my dog was the best companion during Chemo treatment, I couldnt ride coz of balance issues so my ST was the cleanest its ever been...

Winston66,
Hi Bloodbikes, Yes you have guessed it, I will admit that that video of that little camper outfit caught my attention and my expanding teardrop sort of developed from that, and I admit that that video was the seed for me.
However I made some radical changes and modified the concept a lot in order to encompass what I felt were improvements and also what I thought would suit me better.
I am in the middle of a write up about the build and I hope to post it soon.
Cheers, Winston66

hi winston would love a set of plans for your tlr job well done
-
Winston how much does it weigh and is it braked?
-
Winston66,
Hi Joso and IanB,
Thanks for the kind words,
To answer your questions,
I have not weighed the trailer but estimate that fully loaded it should not exceed 200 Kg.
Comprehensive details and a write up about the build is posted on the forum under , My Expanding Teardrop trailer build.
I posted that in the last couple of days.
Cheers ,
Winston66
