Has anybody tried these Buck Sport Touring pegs???

Not sure which way to go...
Although the Buck brackets can be used for mounting lights if I don't like the pegs...

Most of us here use the MCL touring pegs, they are very well made and just great on a long trip
They give you a huge advanage of being able to change riding positions and move about on the bike on long trips

Good find Brian. I've not seen anything about the Buck Sport highway pegs before.

"I seriously considered the wing types, but they are too close to the rider for stretching out the legs (I'm 6'3"). The other brand locates the wings under the engine guard (tip over covers) and "can" pose a risk at times. I opted for the Buck Sport Touring pegs and have been excessively happy with them. I can even use them in conjunction with my fairing deflectors in place. They're not everyone's cup of tea, mostly because they aren't as elegant as the others. But this is a case where form HAS to follow function (IMHO)."

Wow I'm not liking the pegs at all... the wings on the other hand slot in nicely to the bike

I am 6ft and have no trouble with reach on the MCL's :wink1

If you let your bike lay on its side a lot, the BST pegs will suit you better. :grin
If you happen to drop it with MCLs extended, one will snap off. They're aluminium, so they don't bend. The BSTs are spring loaded, so fold.
Looks wise, MCL win hands down, especially as they retract into the cowl rather than extend permanently. I suspect the MCL mounting system is also more robust as it bolts onto the whole tip-over bar. MCL supply laser-cut covers that look good, whereas BST require you to cut your own, presumably with your favourite Stanley knife. That might be a challenge to do well.

I have MCL wings and I find the fact they slope slightly downwards from the anchor point when in use annoys me. My feet keep wanting to slide off. The Buck Touring ones seem to be level and as such i would gladly swap. For $100 less and level pegs, if I was buying now I would certainly go for the Bucks.

I just don't know....
The MCLs' look better...but and I am sorry to admit I have had the odd tip over...trying to start in 2nd, from a stop on a turn...straight legged it once..that hurt...the last time I was lying on my side, saying, "what the heck happened???"...and where did that oil come from...which is how I discovered that the oil gallery plug has no thread sealent and leaks...thankfully that problem and repair has been addressed on the US STOwner's forum.
Wonder why they stopped maked MCL Gen1 and only make Gen 2 now???,,,the cutouts look better on the Gen1...

Not sure if you are referring to the Connie tongue in cheek or really don't know what one is.
They are a Kawasaki and In Australia called a 1400GTR, in the US a C14.

Do you have rear tip over bars fitted to your ST?
Also have you seen the you tube clip on how to pick up a bike?

Brian - Work out what is the purpose you want them for and then pick the one that best suits that purpose. That way you should be happy with what you choose. We all set our bikes up differently depending on our individual needs so go with your gut feeling :wink1
