Title: ST1100 Plug Wrench

Hi Guys,
Have bought a 1997 ST 1100 (late last year) with 71,000 klm, was trying to do plug filter oil change myself rather than pay the local guys $350.00! But the original tool kit is missing.........does anyone know where I can purchase the plug wrench from? have tried all my wrenches none will fit.

Phil, you are welcome to pop around and use mine, ( I think there is a plug spanner in there, havent looked at the plugs yet.) thats if I am in your area. If not, I'm sure some one else will be close.

The Honda OEM plug wrench is available online, I think someone recently got one from davidsilverspares.  I use a fewbits put together that do the job, but those rear plugs are fiddly.

Hi,

I use David Silver Spares for most of my 1100 parts.

This link will give you part numbers for the tool kit. The whole kit is no longer available but the plug tool is.

89216-MT3-000 that's the part number for the spark plug tool.

I'd take a guess and say that 1300 tool kit would be the same and you might get one from a dealer.

Alan is correct in saying the plug wrench is the correct size. The only difference is the length, isn't it always that, of the hex shaft. Roper has a 1100 tool kit and the shaft was a bit short on the 1300.
You should be ok with a small socket and a wobble joint extension bar.
