I chose an avatar that shows my favorite ST1100 model from an Aussie perspective. 
That model is a USA, 1995 ST1100ALS (or an S model with ABS and TCS, but no CBS, and no LBS).
I think the Aussie equivalent of it was Australia's first, ABS-equipped ST.  Most of my riding has been on one of those.  But my future riding will probably be more on a standard, 1993 ST1100P.

The colour of our 1995 non-ABS models, and also of the '95 Canadian equivalents, happens to be the same "pure red" as that shown.

(Photo credit: MotorcyclistOnline.com according to Google.com, but I think that that online magazine probably obtained the image from an American Honda sales brochure for what we Americans call our 1995 ST1100 models.)
