Register with FarRider, and there is lots of info on their site to assist.

Don't forget your starting docket, also, mark/highlight the date and time on that docket to assist at check-in.

Enjoy your ride.

kuz51bro  plan your trip to allow for any unforeseen event with enuff time to meet the check-in window. if you arrive early its all good, but if by chance you get delayed and are late  you'll miss the check-in time,  but at least you'll have the experience next time... FarRiders has lots of great advice along with IBA  see tj189's link,
good luck and cya at Urbenville :thumbs

Enjoy planning your trip. Enjoy the ride. Check your bike over for maintenance issues.

Most importantly... It is totally OK to miss the check-in window - plenty do. You are just as highly regarded for deciding to pull out for various reasons than if you make it there on time, as your well-being is the best thing you can bring to a FarRide. It also makes the next one just as much fun.    :thumb

Let us all know your trials, tribulations and triumphs when you get back home safely of how you enjoyed the weekend.

We all love reading Ride Reports.      :thumbsup

Good Luck.

Cheers, Diesel

Plan the ride and ride the plan. And just remember, don't kill yourself trying to succeed, there is always another one in the future.

I've done 13 FarRides in Tassie. Doing the km's is easy.  Use google (quite conservative) to guarantee you're at lunch at 11.30 a.m.  You can always ride 15 mins past and back to get to the checkin.  The rest is sheer enjoyment.  Enjoy the ride.

After that you are just doing the ride for the fun of it, not the recognition.

Have a great run all. I had to pull (second weekend in a row  :cuss) as I still have a hacking cough and a bit of a fever.  This was the one I was most looking forward to as well.  Still some more rides coming up though  :grin

Many thanks to everyone that's commented. I have done what most of you are talking a about, I serviced the bike, changed the plugs, changed the diff oil checked the ol girl over and found a missing nut on an exhaust mount and fixed that. The route is planned and programmed into the Garmin and fuel points checked and also plugged in. All that's needed now is for Friday to arrive and look forward to a great experience. Can't wait.

Well a big day today. Around 700k done, left Warialda just on dark and you would have thought we were riding in a snow storm the number of white moths had to be seen to be believed. The run from Brisbane to Grafton was crap roadworks everywhere so slow going. It's been great fun with three if us running together all day. We have fuel dockets to mark our turn points one from grafton and one at Warialda. Currently in Ashford. See you in Urbanville in the morning guys.

Well bad luck can happen we made it easy today. Even spent some time cruising around til almost check in. Got to Urbanville and bike were there a plenty. We dodged about 30 jumping cows around Tenterfield at dawn but was un eventful after that. Biggest moment we completed our first Far Ride no problems. Biggest piss off Bloody Roadworks.  They are everywhere. Stay upright everyone and Ride it like you stole it.  :candystwheelie :rockon :rockon

I have spoken to Chris (ST2UP) and Pockey now has her first FarRide done and dusted.  Trouble is that they were kicking back at the Urunga pub over looking the water, and I should have been there  :'(

I feel a Urunga pub RTE coming on......

Thanks Wild Rose for the lend of your air hawk for Urbenville.   :thumbs

I found doing 300 to 400kms in one go easier, around just 200kms with just the hard Corbin.

No worries Abe I glad I could help out.  :beer
I find the Air Hawk good for 300 to 400km but after that you are still looking for a break and I guess a coffee and fuel
comes in handy. But they are much better than the standard seat or hard Corbin as you say.
We will all have to invest in a Russell seat.
It would be good if ST2UP and Pockey can now give a report after their FarRide

Can someone tell me what a "Russel seat" is?
I have already got a air hawk. But never heard of a Russell seat.

Any idea how long it takes to see the completed rider list after a fariders run anyone?
