:eek What IS amazing, is the milage you got out of the Bridgies. That would have to be a record without doubt. :-++Indeed. I run the PR3s (and previously the BTs) on 42psi (real - after calibration). Interestingly, I only changed the tyre at the front after I collected the bike from its 24,000km service and the guy said it was dangerous. I had Middleton coming up, so I though - ok, time to change it anyway. I would have waited until the week before Middleton and changed it with the rear (+3,000km) otherwise. The rear still had a few thousand left of it (me thinks) when changed, but it wouldn't have got me to SA.
The all important question. "What pressures are you running?"
What sort of cost might they be any ideas
I think I used to get around 11K out of mine :'(
Well, let's all in on itI think I used to get around 11K out of mine :'(
I've ridden behind you and I can tell you why you got 11K while I get 22K. Wot thuh
Well, don't keep it all to yourself :well

Hi
Just got home from my 16,000km round trip, I had a set of Michelin Pilot Road 3 fitted just before I left.
I have done east- west four times now 3 on my DL1000 other on my ST1300 but I know 16,000km is nothing to sneeze at Its just I never seen so much uneven wear on one side of the rear tyre before.
Is this normal for a shaft drive bike or just normal for PR3's.
....... I thought I'd check out Jake Wilson but came across this in the fine print ...... Tires....are excluded from international shipping.
Cool - thanks Michael, Was that fairly recent?
Must be in there to ward off lawyers and irate local dealers.
Cheers 8)

I got my tyres from Jake Wilson, no problems with shipping, only took a couple of days from US to Melbourne.

People say it’s the camber in the road, but I’m surprised it would make that much of a difference.
This will be my last update for the PR3s
I rarely fang it through the corners, always gentle on the throttle, & stick to the speed limits. I also never go 2-up.
a half dozen high speed corners do that?
However, I'm convinced it's my riding style that had greatest effect. I'm a bank manager's son at heart & therefore a tight-fisted w***er through 'n through... I rarely fang it through the corners, always gentle on the throttle, & stick to the speed limits. I also never go 2-up.
Of course, it might be that I'm just lucky - hopefully I'll get the same or better from the PR4s.
Rob.
My average consumption is 18.37 Ks/L for the year to date, best was 19.42... Some gentle riding and some not so... all on 91 Octane..
I'm getting between 18 & 19 km/lit based on my fuel log (not the gauge)...

For those that may want to keep an eye on their fuel usage, I have posted a link below.
