Henry Ford would be proud.

Mind boggling!! I'd love to spend a few days going through the factory!! :grin

Mind boggling! 25 minutes from a sheet of steel on a roll to a completed painted car.
160 robots able to move with the precision required- presumably +/- 1 mm.
They even allow some people to do a bit of the assembly!

Very cool, nice looking car too :thumb

I like watching videos like this.
When I was at Uni (19 years ago?) we talked about cars being built every 6 seconds or so (in the U.S.). Technology has advanced in leaps and bounds since then. The speed of computers has plateaued out a bit (compared to what it has been), but we have seen advances in other areas like smartphones.. now .. where is that going to lead us? An 'information' age where we carry smartphones that have positioning devices built into them and they are attached to their owner (unique phone number, banking and buying becoming more attached to these phones, etc).. makes you wonder.
