My Portuguese is a tad rusty, but the shooter who pinged the thief apparently was a policeman.

What if the bike was ALREADY stolen and the owner, with help from a mate was just using a little force to get it back ????

Wouldn't you, when you consider the court's trial process?

I might add the thief has a pretty impressive cannon!  I didn't realise handguns came in that calibre.
(or is that just a silencer?  Don't think they'd bother with a silencer, though.)

Just a Smith and Wesson  revolver in .45ACP. An odd combination of gun but very accurate.
The crown is just a big deep counter-bore that makes them look like cannons.
No silencer.
