Mate, you are misinterpreting the situation, the troops who were starved and kept without the supplies needed to survive were the targets of the communist-based Unions, so being an Aus is not the target of disgrace, only the dammed Unions are worth the abject hatred caused by their despicable actions. Always knew I hated Unions!!! I was a union member in UK for exactly 4 months until the company I worked for told us that if we all wanted to leave the union we could, and we did! Best decision we ever made, and it increased my income by 50% in a period of three months!

You're quite right, Whizz.  It was all part of the Socialist International programme to ruin the West and facilitate the victory of international Communism.

Jokes about "Reds under the bed" sadly play into the hands of these traitors.  They were a huge threat for decades until the total bankruptcy of socialism was revealed in the collapse of the Russian economy.  Sadly they still work, but in other ways.

like unions or not there are numerous cases where workers would have been ripped off if it was not for the union and their lawyers.

And that's when Unions are doing what they're supposed to do.  The pity is too often they are politically motivated.  It's also great when Unions take care of their members' widows and orphans.  Unfortunately we hear less of that and more of the street marches supporting LGBTI rights etc.
