I bought my wife a new axe for her birthday, 'cause she broke the handle on her old one.  I might need to get her one of those chain and spring jobs for Christmas.   Thanks for the hint Marcus.   :thumbsup

Thanks Marcus, I'll use that idea. Saves the back bending down to pick up the bits when they fly all over the place after each stroke!  :thumb
Wish our hardwood split as easily as the pine they use in the video though  :-[

In WA you can cut sheoak like that outside to centre but Jarrah is around the sides.
