I saw a docco a number of years ago where some English fellas built a three wheeled vehicle like this that used a computer to help it lean through corners. Unfortunately, I don't think I could find the info on it but I'll have a look.
I also saw that Myth Busters tested motorbikes to see if they produced less pollution than cars and they found that they were worse than cars. They also constructed a fiberglass shell to test it's advantages on fuel consumption and it made a good improvement.

What will be the most common mode of transport in 25-50-100-1000 years to come......the mind just boggles, hey!  :crazy
