I be that got your attention. :p
"csg" is giving away a CeeBailey screen for a ST1300 and has passed it on to me to try to find a home. It's as new, but he dropped it, and it's broken clean through from the vent hole to the bottom. Screen size is 700mm wide and 570mm high. If you are looking for a screen it may be possible to have it plastic welded (acrylic), or brace the broken bit somehow. Anyway, it's a giveaway, and I'll package and send it to anyone who wants it, and you can send me a cheque for the cost of the postage once you get it. I have no idea of how much postage is likely to be, but it won't be cheap.
First who indicates in a reply to this post to that they want it will get it............. :popcorn :popcorn :popcorn :popcorn

Just so folks can see it without scrolling all over the joint:

Thanks Biggles. It's also pretty hard trying to get a decent photograph of something that is clear. :well

I'd love to grab this if its still available. Could I grab some dimensions to get some shipping quotes?

I've got the original box, so I'll weigh it all and give you the dimensions of the box.

The carton is 710 x 600 x 220mm and all up weight will be about 7kg.
Based upon these measurements, Aust Post have quoted me about $35, depending a bit on which postcode it's going to.

Aust Post screwed up the quote, and when I went to post it to Me_3, shipping was actually $107 and not $35, so I didn't send it. Understandably, he has declined taking it due to the excessive shipping cost. Therefore the screen is still available, but it will cost you $107 to get a free damaged screen shipped via Aust Post. It's up for grabs again.

Generous offer Pete :thumbsup as for Aust Post :well $107 ?? I guess $100 postage and $7 for the jar of Vaseline :whistle

I just got a CALSCI screen from the US, and postage was $75 and it got here within a week, including Christmas and New Years day.

I will be in Victor Harbor (via Adelaide) from 19th to the 25th Jan so if anybody in Perth would like it and I can catch up with Pete I would be more than happy to bring it back to Perth.
I will then be going to Sydney on the 28th so would also be happy to take it to Sydney. I have plenty of luggage allowance with QANTAS and would pack it inside a suit case so hopefully it would transport without any further damage.

Hi Allan and welcome to OzSTOC from the SA crew :hatwave Perhaps you could post your introduction in the "Introduce yourself and your bike" thread, so that our members can get to know you.
As you can see from this thread, the postage is $107, so if you would like the screen, send me a "Personal Message" with your full name and address, and I'll send the screen to you. It will be good to find a home for it, which does not involve the rubbish tip.

West Aussie Glen (and Theresa) collected the screen from my place today. It's on it's way to Cravenhaven (Allan) with journey from Adelaide to Sydney via Perth. Allan, by the time you get it, it will have done 6,000km across Oz and back without ever being on a bike. :crazy

Now safely in Perth, Tuesday Sydney.
Good to catch up Pete.

Thanks Pete and Glen,
It was great to meet you Glen and hopefully we may do again.
Its next journeys will definitely be on a bike, am looking forward to the new wind profile.
Thankyou to both of you for
1) Taking the time and providing the effort to turn one mans rubbish into another's treasure.
2) Providing the effort to make it available to me on the wrong side of the country.
It is truly appreciated and I hope I may return the favour one day.

Pleased to help Allan, and I hope you can either repair, brace or live with the crack. Let us know how you get on, or how you fix it, as the information may be of assistance to other OzSTOC members.
