G'day everyone I am Jason, 41, from the Redlands, I haven't been riding bikes that long about 6 years, but I first started out on a sports-bike, a Suzuki GSX 600F which is something completely different to the ST1300. At the time for me it was just the thought that the bike looked awesome, I am not into speed but I certainly like beauty. After a few close calls with nature, a roo wiping out the left mirror and a very large white owl giving me a winded chest, I hang up my boot for a year. It wasn't until recently that I needed to get myself a mode of transport again and when I went to the bike shop there was this red/candy looking bike just staring at me, the bike is second hand, 2004 model with only 70,000 on the clock, obviously the previous owner didnt ride much in those 9 years, but after checking out some other bikes I gave this beast a go and instantly fell in love.
Today and only after having the bike a week I am loving every minute of it. I haven't been on any long rides yet, have also checked out the farriders as well and def keen to catch up with people and go for a ride.
Nice to meet you.

Welcome aboard Jason, Plenty of knowledge on here to help you build the bike up for Far Rides, and certainly no shortage of people in your area to join you.

I feel like a kid who has been given some money and let into a candy shop and told I can have whatever I like :)

Nah, we don't hand out money. That's some other Forum.
Welcome to OzSTOC. The STs are addictive, as you've found. The big windscreen will help keep the owls off your chest. Nothing defeats the roos (although some true believers think their Shoo-roos help).
Might see you at Nambucca, if not before.

Welcome Jason. I recognise the signs that you've been 'bitten' by the ST bug. Mate resistance is useless. Just accept your fate.
See you around the traps soon.
Cheers.
Skip.
