Title: Restoring paint
Post by: TheMechwarrior on December 09, 2013, 09:50:34 PM
All,

Just after a couple of pointers to help return my tank and (white) plastic fairing components back to pristine condition.

Thank has some mild "sack" wear and the side fairing has some "inner thigh" wear.

I'd like to cut buck the wear to reveal the glorious white and provide for a glossy protection of decade goodness.

Open to suggestions.

Cheers,

Mech.

I'm not sure about the paint restoration, but once you've got it sorted, go and see your local signwriter and have some clear vinyl cut and fitted over the parts of the paintwork that are subject to wear.    My son (signwriter) put it on my bike and it's pretty well invisible unless you go looking for it, and the paint is now protected from abrasion wear.
