Title: A "LIKE" Feature
Post by: Marcus on December 13, 2013, 07:20:29 AM
I think this has been asked once before but I can't find it, so here it is again.

What are people's thoughts about adding a "Like" feature to this forum.

It's running on another forum I moderate on and I think it works well.

It's works the same way the Facebooks like feature works

Basically, it's for people who agree with a post, but don't have anything to add to the conversation, but want to acknowledge themselves as agreeing.

See example:

Would be really good for Diesel's awesome you tube clips thread. Was about to comment on how cool the video was then saw the rules about commenting.

It's a bit naff. If you have something to say, say it. If not, don't.

I know what you're saying... but sometime I see a comment which is funny and want to acknowledge it, without having to make an extra post with a ++

It just might keep the threads neater

It would be a bit like the "Three word game" on the FarRiders' site.  It's such a naff way to build a post count that the Forum is programmed not to count contribs to the game "story".
