Almost forgot this bloke. :spank
A year or two ago some of us over here in the West got some EBC brake pads from this guy. Even with postage he was cheaper than here.
He supplied 2 sets of front pads and 1 set of rears (the rears are thicker) and from memory it came to something like $140 (including postage). We ordered 4 full sets and he posted them out combined, making it cheaper.
He's also great for words of wisdom as he knows his ST's inside-out and is only too willing to help.

Highly recommended.

No Hendo, sorry.
Mine are still ok. In fact I haven't fitted the front ones yet as the originals are still ok.
Give it a few more days and see if anyone else wants any then contact Dave Wilkins with the number of sets required and ask for a quote.
Don't forget to tell him that you contacted him as the result of a recommendation from a member on the Honda PanEuropean Owners Club site (don't have to mention my name if you don't want to. I don't get anything out of it), cause I think he does a special price for them. Better still, join it yourself and contact him as a fellow member.
Good luck,

Just checked Jake Wilson in the states. EBC sintered pads are $37.00 a set. Need 3.

eBay has XYT brand brake pads full sets (6) for $37.50, free postage from Victoria (18316 positive feedback).
Anyone tried them??

I thought of getting some cheapies from Honkers.
I had heard from other people that they don't last very long.
In the USA forum the consensus was EBC were the best for lasting and stopping power. Remember you have a 270kg missile.
I'm looking at the moment, it will cost A$115 for 3 sets inc postage from the states.

How do they compare to the galfers? I they stop very well with great bite, but don't last as long...

EBCs I have used work great, at the expense of pad wear (20,000kms for me) and rotor wear (I replaced my fronts at 100,000kms). Probably depends on whether you use the extra stopping power available. Nothing like smelling the brake pads after a run through the snowies.. I have used similar rated SBS and Lockeed pads
