Title: Evening all.

Just joined up.  I have been living in Malaysia and Dubai since 94 and returned two years back to Melbourne.  Hadn't riden for years.  Got a short term job at a company here, and one of the guys was a Brit who did his apprenticeship as a Honda mechanic.  He owned a fantastic ST1100 ex Police first registered in Queensland in April 2005.  I asked him if he ever considered selling to please give me first refusal.  He did.  I purchased this beautiful beast and have started riding again.  She has not yet clocked up 60,000 kms but its close now.  Its in very nice condition and I am so wrapt. Just last week fitted a top box and this week fitted an ignition switch bypass relay.  Not sure when exactly, but someday soon I will hit the road with a trip to Brisbane return.

You got lucky meeting up with an ST1100 owner and getting his bike.

If you ride up to Brisbane, you won't want to ride back to that other place!

Hi Piet and welcome to the Forum from the SA crew.   With just 60,000km on a 2005 bike, you have one that is essentially just run in.   Hope to catch up on the road sometime. :hatwave

Lots of fantastic information and events here, the national rally is in Ballarat in march, you will get to see 60-70 ST's in one spot!
