Post by: JuST Peter on January 18, 2014, 05:47:56 AM
This really got to me to see little kids doing what we took/take for granted:

Brilliant, and the best part is it hasn't been done for profit

Amazing how quickly this technology has developed. It began with clever but very fragile models that were no stronger than paper-maché.  Now the products appear to be as strong as plastic.
Excellent life changers for people.  There's another Youtube clip there about a guy with a hideously disfigured face benefiting from the technology.

A fellow work mate built his own 3D printer with help from the internet

I have a 3D printer that I built myself. It is marvelous technology. Almost limitless.
