Good deal Marcy.   Well done.   I found MC Land good folk to deal with when my son had a serious breakdown a couple of years ago, and they fixed his bike after normal business hours.

they have had 5 phone calls from Club members, but I am the only one who has booked to get new tyres from them  :eek

So i just spoke to Steve at Bike Doctor here and asked about prices for PR3 160/70 17 tyres for my ST1100.
He didn't have any listed so I though it had it wrong and maybe they were only doing the 1300 size tryes at the AGM.
I just saw Streak's PM about the tryes at the rally and called Steve back who then called his supplier who said that Michellin don't make a 160/70 17 in PR3

So .. are they the right sizes being offered at the rally or is there somewhere else in Perth i should try??

160/70 17 , no have. 170/60 17 can do. thats what I have on the rear. Thats what the police bikes were speced.

PR2 and PR3 have never come in the right size for the ST1100 rear, but the ST1300 size (170/60) is great as I have used quite a few.  A 160/60-17 rear will work.  The 110/80-18 front for the standard ST1100 and early ABS might be available, but rare. Again, the St1300 and later ST1100 ABS front (120/70-18) works fine.

I have the PR3 in a 110/80 18 on the front, it works very well.

I'd love to take advantage of it, but I don't think my front tyre will make the 3500km down.. its new rubber before I go..  :rd13

A word of caution if you fit this to an ABS version of the 1100. The ABS computer is calibrated to the OEM tyres and a non standard tyre isn't generally recommended. I also noticed that when I fitted the 170/60 tyre to mine there wasn't much clearance with the extra tyre width and the ABS sensor. It does go in but with about 2mm to spare with the wheel at a slight angle.

We can ship tyres direct.
There is a couple of requirements must ship to a business address where someone is available to sign a con note all day during normal business hours, and the cost is $35 freight.
 
We would need to get these shipped very early next week so as not to delay people.

I'm not too sure, give them a call and ask them, I'd imagine in good faith it would be for front and back only, but you never know
