Looks shiney enough, but me thinks it's not a viable replacement for my likes.

They still havent learnt to make the pillion seat comfortable or raise the handlebars  Wot thuh

They are a nice ride if you are looking for a sports bike and are happy look for fuel at 250 k
Would not suit many in here

I think it's more attractive to a Blackbird rider who wants to do a bit of touring now he starting to settle down.
It comes in Candy Red, so it's not all bad.

The VFR1200 is actually a nice enough bike to ride, but much more a shaft drive touring blackbird than an ST replacement.  The motor, handling and brakes are fantastic, just need some more ST DNA to be added.

While I was still getting my "big bike" licence, I had the Viffer as my screen saver - I love the look (especially that deep lustre red), shaft, .... and I was seriously considering the auto/electronic clutch..... until I rode it. It just wan't comfortable.

I reckon it could give anything a whipping in terms of power - what a beast! - but a tourer it ain't.  Small tank, fixed wind-shield, small panniers, small rear seat, cramped leg position.
