Title: Just Bought
Post by: Sabie on February 18, 2014, 07:41:51 PM
Hey everyone,

Our Preparations for the OzSTOC rally in Ballarat was to include purchasing Hi Vis vest. I went to nearly every work wear safety shop in Townsville trying to purchase a zip up hi viz vest. All I could find were Velcro close up vests and was told it was a safety issue.

So looking around the internet we found these jackets on the old ebay at $89.00 each with a mak an offer. I offered $75. Each and they accepted.

Now I don't know what the quality will be like, the products are available from Australia (we hope) according to the advertiser.

I checked hip hop in Townsville, only Velcro and wasn't prepared to order 1 vest in. The rational was if hip hop in Townsville doesn't carry them why would Toowoomba. Not only that but the cost of freight and I'm up to where the price of these jackets are.... Searching the internet, DMC were close to $40 plus $10 to $20 freight.

No worries, take your jacket size and add at least one if not two sizes, you don't want it to tight.

Will sort a price toomorow  :thumb

This is my jacket, the ribbons are extra....

It was from Total Workwear its a Prime Mover brand, lined and water resistant. Helps keep the rain off and clear the traffic.  Cost was about $35.00 if I remember correctly. It doesnt have the clear ID card holder, that would be a nice addition.

Looks good Brock, but a bit hot for North Queensland with the fleecy lining.   :thumb

Its a bit warm for Perth as well, but good in winter. Its got good iside pockets, but the outer ones tend to collapse after a while.

El cheapo $8 @ Masters. No lining & not waterproof,  but it does zip up the front. I buy a new one every 6 months 'cos I can't be bothered washing it.

I can vouch for these Mongrels as Graham has hooked me up.  Very comfortable for work and great on the bike, no slippage.  Have only ridden through drizzle but stayed dry.
