Just having a little dag brag here... 8)
my daughter hit her highest score today of 19, she plays for the Toowoomba Emeralds which is the only all girls team in the under 11 boys competition!
we are doing some throw downs here before she went into bat: (well the coach was, i was just the annoying proud parent with a camera!)

would love more video of the action. :popcorn
If anyone else has proud parent cool kiddie in action vids we should post it here.

My daughter was a mad keen soccer player from kindergarten. She played with boys teams until 12yrs when the ruling body said she was no longer allowed. So she did netball for a year and had more injuries than all the years she played soccer. Next year was high school and all female teams, where she thought they all 'played like girls'. :rofl
We had many weekends away for matches, indoor soccer twice a week and girls teams outdoor on Saturdays. She played in the northwest (NSW) comp, and represented the state in under 16s.
After leaving school and getting an apprenticeship as a spray painter in a local panel shop, she played in local area ladies comp. The birth of her own daughter brought a stop to playing, but she still watches when she can.
I wonder if grand daughter will follow in mum's footsteps as she has a lot of her traits. :grin

Cool ..... A relent ice who can reap ray your steed when you drop it ! :crackup :crackup

Well I thought I would add to the Dad Brag moment, Jaimie Lee has moved up a grade this year, she opens the batting and is the teams wicket keeper.
her team got a towelling today, but she scored half her teams runs, and also effected two run outs and took a catch behind the wicket, fingers crossed she might get picked for Darling Downs this year.

she also really into her cricket, her favourite player is Alyssa Healy who plays for Australia, and was yelling at the TV last night when AB Delvillers got his field placing's wrong, thought it was bloody hilarious.

Ferget Darling Downs.
She's straight into the Queensland side.

Forget Queensland straight into the aussie team for the upcoming test series.

My daughter is Deputy Head of a Primary School, so I guess she's got the chalk in her blood too.

Well i am back to brag, Jaimie-Lee and i played in the same cricket match together for the first time, she was only a substitute fielder for us, but it was pretty awesome to have her at mid off while i was patrolling the covers...

Jaimie-Lee made the Darling Downs Squad! We are off to the u12 Queensland cricket state titles!
I am one very proud dad! She has put in so much personal work and dedication to improve herself and her skills to make the squad, she was up against 25 girls to make a team of 12

Congratulations, well done Jamie Lee and Dad :hatwave

Thanks team, we are quietly hopeful she may make the state side, but there is alot of hard work to get there, plus she has to put the runs on the board to do it.
BUT i keep a very simple phrase in front of her "Just do your best, and make sure your having fun" as I am not one of the parents to drive her to do it, I will support either of my kids doing whatever they want, but i will never force it on them, fun is first and formost, as it brings a love of the game
