It runs and rides flawlesley

Winston66, here
Thank you everyone for your interest and expressions of concern, I will sadly miss the ST's when they sell, I am secretly just hoping that only one will go, as I do enjoy the use of them so much,
However The latest toy is now up and running. It is a Mazda MX5. and the turbo kit is fitted and working well, It just needs a little bit of tweaking in the ECU programming dept. to smooth it out a little, I am working on that.
Cheers Winston66
Here is a couple of pics.

Hi Winston,
Sorry to her about the Arthritis. I think I'm getting it in the left shoulder but Mother Terese says its probably gout from drinking too much home brew! Hope your medicines ameliorate most of your symptoms but I agree with u that controlling a beaST at slow speeds demands quick reactions and arthritis does not allow that. I get severe cramps but am learning how to contol them - compared to arthritis they r minor.
There's a lot of good value there. I bought my 2003 ST1300 for $8000 and that was gr8 value coz it had so many farkles pre-installed and I am only now adding a few minor farkles that r important to me (like powerlet, ram mirror) but yours has most of these plus electronic cruise control and a towbar!
There's a cupla grand's worth of xtras there alone.
And u have a trailer to sell as well. Someone is sure going to get an amazing touring setup!

St George, report to the sin bin for one hour.
Charge is for using long hard to say words, to wit :- ameliorate

I m deeply inconsolable and irretrievably full of contrition for deeming to be the autonomous individual who has somehow ventured into the infinite abyss of confusion when a fellow homo sapien (myself) wishes to convey a semantic evaluation by way of appropriate utilisation of the Anglo Saxon lexicon to specifically describe my anguish at the fateful indisposition of a valued comrade individual who has by genetic improbability inherited an acute medical malady that alters his future possibilities of transportation.
Or, in other words, sh*t m8 - life sucks! :eek
-
Sad to hear Winston, but life has to go on. And the MX5 is not a bad change! We might need an MX5 sub forum, with you, Barry and Marissa as main members...
-
St. George.
That was most salubrious of you.
I think that the situation dictates that I now go and partake of several drams of the obligatory brown liquid type of medicine , and then become perhaps, somewhat self indulgent and have a little guts up on the horizontal resting surface whilst watching some movies of the latest Moto Gp's.
Cheers , Winston66

That's an interesting single wheel trailer you have there. Is it road worthyand or registerable?
is it also for sale?
-
Hi spanner,
Re the single wheel trailer, attached should be another pic. or two, of the trailer.
It is still a work in progress and I am working on a little write up about it.
at the moment it is not registered and I am having to modify (remake) the hitch arrangement ,in order to overcome some inherent instability problems .(noticeable at speeds )above 60 Kph.
So unfortunately cannot sell at this time.Maybe in the future?
There was too much play in the rotational axis and the trailer wanted to oscilliate from side to side whilst under way , I originally used a 4 wheel drive 2000 Kg.poly block coupling it seemed ok. whilst cornering , but wanted to take over when travelling in a straight line.
So I am remaking it and utilizing instead, a drive shaft type of universal joint, and a vertically mounted reece type of hitch as the quick release point .
Some more pics. are in my personal album thingie.

Winston,
Are you willing to sell "10 Optional over the mirror Police spotlight brackets and two 20 watt led running lights, these have not been wired in yet." separately? If so, how much. I want to be better prepared for the OzSTOC ss1600k.
-
Winston66 here,
This is a BUMP, I do not know what it means or how it works , but I have seen this said on other forums.
If anyone is interested I wish to thank everyone for their kind comments , and yes the two ST's are still here and for sale , unfortunately I have not been able to take the bikes for a blat around the block , Some 210 Klms. Via Kalbarri, for a month or so. But I have been there for a little ride in the MX5 since the younger version of myself finished the installation of the turbo kit and the special ECU to power it properly. I was a good outing and a very enjoyable picnic and I also managed to get a couple of very nice picture of a couple of 20 year old beach bunnies.
That is my news for the month.
Cheers .

I am serious, I'm after a pair of mirror police spotlight brackets for my ST1300. What price would you accept?
P.S. If what I heard at Far Ride is true, Lionel may be looking for another ST1300.
-
Hi Gadget (Gary),
Thanks for your interest, at the present time I really do not want to make a separate sale of the light brackets as they might be wanted by a prospective purchaser for one of the ST's.or by myself if one of the bikes does not sell.
However all may not be lost for you, One of my very handy young blokes has said that if there is enough interest expressed by other members etc. that he might be co hers ed into doing a production run of several sets for supply to those interested people.
:OldMan :think1 :hatwave :runyay
If he makes a sample in the near future I will be posting some pictures and prices, so I hope that any interested parties can let me know of their interest so that I gauge any possible future demand as to see if it is a worthwhile project for him.
Cheers,

Fair enough.
Maybe worthwhile putting this as a topic and/or Poll.
Streak imported some and it cost him $160 odd including Freight. Surely we can do them cheaper here. :grin
co hers ed = coerced. :like
-
I made mine for about 3 hours time and a bit of welding using scrap lying around.
-
Hi Winston
Well you already know I have shown interest, and still interested in a set
