Not QLD. Only required when selling a vehicle. And then expires after 3 months of failing to sell so has to be redone.
-
Yeah NSW has yearly RWC.
-
Not in SA either.
Inspections have been proposed by the Motor Traders (only ones to benefit) in the past but successive state govts have knocked it on the head. Such a small percentage of accidents are caused by defects to vehicles so they can't see the justification...........yet.
We can't sell a vehicle unless it's roadworthy but then no inspection is required either.

Nor Vic, at this stage anyways.................................................. :wink1 :wht11

Not heard this one..

No bike places near here to get one so you go to the local car mechanic who says " Is it all ok" Yep so they issue the pink slip after you fork over $23. It gets registered within a half hr electronically with the roads mob so you can pay your rego online

Same here in the city Tony - local mechanic does it by sight (he looks out the window at it).

Weird, ain't it? The RWC on a vehicle for sale in Qld is quite thorough. They snagged under-thickness rotors and smooth peg rubbers on my ST1100. However none is required if you're trading in.
