LED H4 bulbs to date have been disappointing or have needed ballasts like HIDs to work, so relatively messy.

Here is what looks like the next generation that can only come down in price eventually.

Based on the comments in the advrider thread mentioned, the led conversion seems to address the problem I had with the scattered beam pattern of the H4 HIDs.  If they can outlast a few sets of the +50 or +100 H4s then they might be worth it.

They look good, but it would be nice to be the second person to install them on an ST, having had some feedback from the first.    :thumb
$120 USD for a pair (Plus shipping) each is a high, but tolerable price if the globes are as good as they sound.

Knowing from hard experience how tricky it can be to get the wire clip to seat on a regular converted H4, I'd be wondering how I'd go with the large annular back on it- unless the back comes off like our present plug does, to go over after the waterproofing rubber boot is installed.

i had mr saaz's problem with scatttered HID. fixed by fitting another? brand of bulb, very happy with units now.
