It is about and inch or so at a guess, I can't quite remember the difference I have sold my ST1100 now so I don't have anything to compare it to...

It is a straight swap over nice and simple, postage wise I would guess to allow $25ish would do the job

But it is only a 2 hour trip down here, I will even help you tie it on  :thumb
