Yeah I'm a busy body /sticky beak - but we could all learn some very clever tips here.
For me it's:
- spare ear plugs
- muesli bars (longer rides)
- a 12v cig lighter with phone charger for my iphone/nav/mp3 etc
- a micro fibre cloth
- Pete's (blueheeler55's) Safety Solutions visor cleaning kit
- the guts of the am/fm radio
- tyre pressure gauge
- led flash light
- OzSTOC Bcards
- driving light on/off switch
.... what about you?
-
Well In mine I have:
- a 12v cig lighter with phone charger for my iphone/nav/mp3 etc
- a micro fibre cloth
- Pete's (blueheeler55's) Safety Solutions visor cleaning kit
- set of clear Bolle safety glasses (in case I get caught at night)
- plastic disk for the side stand for parking on grass
- Small Towel
- OzSTOC Business Cards
-
Not much.
LH pocket has 12volt power supply which as yet has to be located to a more suitable place.
GPS Charger when in use.
Phone and charger during charge at campsite. (other wise in top case)
Can also slip sunnies in there on the move when it gets to dark to wear them.
Bag of barley sugar lollies or similar on longer trips. (sometimes).
Small flat metal plate for side stand for those not to firm parking spots. (just in case)
RH lockable.
Store GPS when I leave bike in carparks etc.
Sometimes wallet. (usually in top case)
OzStoc cards (now that I have them.)
Tool kit supposed to be stored here but it's under the seat.
My helmet came with a clip on nose guard for protection from the sun so that's in there as well.
My phone is loaded with music should I want any.
That should satisfy those somewhat more curious souls amongst us. :well

Hey blueheller55- I would be uneasy about taking rego papers on the bike, cause if it gets stolen you have made it very easy for the crooks to on sell the bike ( I hate thieves )

Marcus, if you follow this thread http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?86664-ST1300-Key-Knob-Farkle-with-pics (http://www.st-owners.com/forums/showthread.php?86664-ST1300-Key-Knob-Farkle-with-pics)
You could do what these guys have done and also what I've done too. Now whenever I go riding I never have to "arse" around getting the key out of the ignition to unlock everything (barring the top box which has its own key).

Yeah Mate, I saw that...It looks great I think I may do it...Problem is when you leave your bike do you walk away with three lock knobs in your pocket? or one, with the other two locked in the lockable left hand compartment?
(barring the top box which has its own key).
This is my number one HATE with this bike...Yes I know it's an aftermarket thing, but GRRRRRRRRR Ignition key opens and unlocks EVERYTHING except to top box...

The second option Marcus.
I've also found Araldite (or Selleys) has a two tube pack with a spiral mixer you attach, which mixes the two tubes at the same time, and it goes off faaassssttttt.
I practised on an old key from some other lock, squeezed the Araldite in and waited too long before I tried to put the key in and stuffed it up, so the "key" is to have your cut down keys in place as you add the epoxy. It's a one handed operation so you can hold the key with one hand while you squeeze with the other.
WARNING!! Don't get it on your fingies :-[ I can only count to ten now :'(
Hijack over, sorry Deez :grin

Just like having a key their that bike thieves can use. Saves em getting a ute or a truck :rofl
Maybe if you glued it in which may have been suggested it would be better
-
The key is actually cut down to fit the luggage locks, and cant be used to start the bike.
They just get all the bits that allow em to empty your house while you are on the road..
:rofl :rofl
