Hello All,
After many years on other makes I've returned to Honda and recently purchased a 2004 ST1300. I owned many Hondas a year or a 2 ago and after a discussion with Wombattle at this years FarRally was convinced to buy a ST1300 as a LD mount, and my CBR-Sydney commute bike.
First ride impressions is it feels good

Greetings from WA.
After a few rides, the bike will feel great, not just good

Thanks Brock,
I'm sure you're right and all my experiences with Hondas have been good

Welcome to the forum. Great to see you and Ollie (bet he'll have an ST soon) yesterday at the Lake. Not sure if it's too late to sign up but if you are available check this thread out. It'll be a great day.

Also glad to say I recognised that distinctive hairstyle at Lake Cargelligo. Good to see you logged in to the Forum. It's a hotbed of fanaticism about Honda STs, so you'll love it!

Thanks to all who posted,
Look forward to seeing you out there soon!
Cheers

So would this be Kiwi Martin ex Prez of the ACT BMW MCC????
This is Macca from QBN.
Thinking that a ST11/13 should be the bike in my shed rather than the V Strom. Did you keep the GS?

You need both, Macca. The VSTrom has a role riding on the gravel where the ST is too nice a bike to take there. The ST is the comfortable mile-eater when it's mainly bitumen you're following. You can pick up good ST1100s for very reasonable money, and there are a lot of affordable ST13s with some useful extras around.

Biggles,
Good suggestion and one that will require further consideration (and approval from SWMBO). The CBR 1000F will also probably be a contender.
Cheers,
Macca.

Hi Macca,
Yes it's KiwiMartin from CBR, still riding Beema,s but now with a ST1300 in the shed and one I will be using for some LD work
Great to hear from you

Macca,
Meant to say in the last post that I still have the GS1150, plus a 2010GSA kitted out for LD work, plus a part share in a 2007GSA In the states.
loving my St1300, it's a dream on the freeways and eats the CBR-Syd work commute
