I have done a series of Farkles that may be of interest to someone! :grin
The first is the mounting of a magnetic tank bag ( a small third gear bag) to a 1100 tank cover. Steel plates were considered but I dont think they would have enough attraction to hold the bag so I bought four rare earth magnets

I placed the bag on the cover and put each magnet below so they could find their place.

Be aware that like poles repel and it is obvious which way they go. One of my magnets was reverse of the others. I then marked their location with a pen and when I was happy I glued the magnets in place with araldite glue.

And Bobs your uncle not mine

When I use the bag it has a strap for carrying it around which I put around the yoke and bars just in case it comes loose or someone likes it more than me
So there you have it

Are those rare earth magnets from Jaycar?
Have you found any issue's with the magnets, when the tank bag is not on ?

Good one...... :thumbsup we have a third gear bag that is a little larger than yours, bought it new for about $60 on ebay as we didnt wish to spend big money on a bag if it didnt work for us.......if it did, we would buy a better quality bag, well we love the third gear bag.....works just great for us, so its here to stay :thumb

I will take sea sick thanks, no way I'm going to swallow one of those... o:)

An interesting variation. I have seen magnetic metal glued under the shelter, but the magnets should be more secure.
