Event Information:
The historic Apollonian Hotel was constructed in the heyday of the 1870’s Gympie Gold Rush and in 1987 was moved to the picturesque village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba.
Noosa's historic Apollonian Hotel offers an unique pub-style menu, which harks back to our pioneering days, in an authentic colonial setting with wide, cool verandahs and open fireplaces.
On Sundays there is a special lunch menu as well as the Apollonian’s famous spit roast, which is very popular with locals and visitors alike.
The Sunday roast is $20 / head all you can eat. Tables booked for 10 to 15 at this stage under OzSTOC.

I used to take bus loads of people to the Apollonian when I drove buses in Gympie. There's a couple of good roads to ride that side of Gympie, Ulysses Gympie used to RTE here also.
Have a great ride those who attend, enjoy a good :eat and not too many :beer :-((( :-((( the local :cop from Noosa cruise the area :law

Looks like a great location :thumbs Unfortunately I will be heading south from Uralla on 13 July down to Victoria for an RTE down there on the 19th, as well as taking the chance to visit family. Heading north instead is rather tempting though!

Approx 2 hours riding time, with a Morning Tea stop at The Edge Restaurant Montville and then onto Boreen Point for lunch.

Yep, I know downhill Obi Obi is dirt. I've done it once on the ST, in the dry. It is a great run up though. I chased an R1 up there some months back.
I'm planning on going from Montville to Mapelton and then down the range to Nambour, then a quick squirt up the highway and off at Cooroy to get to Boreen Point. Unless IanB, (Mapelton local) comes up with a better idea. :thumb

Landsborough just over the rail lines at 8:50-9:00am? I will join up there and head up for brekky and on for lunch... Will be good to get out on the road again after a long lay off.
That little stretch of dirt road is ok. I have ridden it a few times so long as it is dry it is fine.

Yep, I can do that. If I don't catch you on Old Gympie Rd roundabout at Landsborough. The map showed you were going up Steve Irwin Way. The Old Gympie Rd is a better ride. One way or another I will see you there ++
