Title: WA OzSTOC RTE Coordination
Post by: Pezzz on June 16, 2014, 10:47:21 PM
Yorkie and I are looking for some input from all the WA OzSTOCers out there to help us with your knowledge of the surrounds to plan some enjoyable RTEs for the coming year.
We are chasing ideas for Breakfast, Lunch, or Overnighters.
Do you have a favourite place to go? Bearing in mind that not all of us are FarRiders.

The below has shamelessly been stolen from Gadget (Gary)

So OzSTOCers:
  • What ideas have you got?
  • Where would you like to go, that you haven't been before?
  • Where would you like to return to?
  • What overnighters do you think could be interesting/entertaining?

For the FIFO and shift guys, also feel free to post up some midweek suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing some ideas.
Thanks in advance.

Well done guys on this ... I'm sure we can all put our 2 cents in and get the ball rolling for future rides

Current RTEs planned for the rest of this year are:

WA RTE LUNCH New Norcia Hotel 22nd of June 2014
WA Overnight RTE Border Village SA 2nd of August 2014
WA Overnight RTE Jurien Bay 20th to 21st of September 2014   http://www.jurienbaytouristpark.com.au/4890/Home/ (http://www.jurienbaytouristpark.com.au/4890/Home/)

FarRide West #25 Balingup 25th of October - Not OzSTOC RTE but I thought I would put in for ease of planning
WA RTE LUNCH Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, Dunsborough, Sunday 16th of November 2014
WA RTE BREAKFAST York Mill Cafe Sunday 7th of December 2014

(Amended due clash with Perth Charity Ride)

Looking to 2015 now.

WA Overnight RTE Border Village SA 2nd of August 2014

Looking to 2015 now.

I mentioned this for SA next year as an optional ride for those you wanted to go

Heather and I are planning on going this year just for a casual ride over (not as a FarRide) but I'll know for sure in July.

I organise overnighters for a small bunch of blokes I work and served with
we head off into the great unknown about every 6 weeks
mostly couples with a couple of singles
never more than about 250K's from perth / rockingham
ride out via the scenic route on saturday
eat drink and be merry sat night
fill up with a country breaky sun morn then ride home
we could do with a bit more class by way of more ST's (we only have 2 so far)
if anyones interested i can put up some dates and destinations

stu
That is great ....  :-)
Some may just take a day ride but others like to get out for the weekend.
Anyone can post RTEs ...  just pick a date and a location and put it up as a new thread.

Bailingup
Collie
Beverley
Harvey
Narrogin

Augusta for an Overnighter in Summer

Your States RTE Co-Ordinators have their planning underway for next years OzSTOC RTE calendar  :hatwave.....if you have a recommendation for a RTE that encompasses a great ride with a top notch destination post your ideas and experiences of a suitable location here for them to consider.

Hey everyone, Looking for ideas for next year's RTEs.

Was there anywhere you particularly liked and want to go back to?
Was there anywhere you don't want to go back to?
Any suggestions of new places to go to?

Pezz,
Pick up a  brochure from here at the show.

Maybe worth trying for breakfast or lunch.
