Who from here is venturing forth to Nambucca heads and how's ya gonna go.
Looking for inspiration.
Almost convinced myself that since the bloody goats and roos spoilt the chance of a IBA 1600 in November then Feb 18 must be the weekend to succeed.

I am in, just going to do my 1000 though, I am just easing into farRiding
-
You've got the "teacher" along side.
Just make sure he stops to eat and drink, didn't seem to consider that much of a detail on the trip to Rocky.
Had to force feed him part of the lunchbox I'd packed.
And keep an eye on his speedo. Not the Tony Abbott type - the one that attracts red and blue flashing lights.
-
Sounds like I need you to come and keep an eye on diesel to keep an eye on me
-
We're holding off making a decision on the route yet beatup as we're still getting reports of flooded roads around Dorrigo, Urunga, Lismore Bucca etc
-
I am doing what Diesel is doing and waiting a bit to see how the floods go. You may already have this link to help make your decision on which roads to use but just in case.....

if all else fails we might have to slab it
Greg

Not being an Ozstralian I need an explanation of "might have to slab it"
Good news is booked in for frontal lobotomy and since doing that the guvvermint have agreed that I can become an aussie bleeder at one of those ceremonies where you swear at the flag and things.
then I'll book a trip overseas leave on one passport and come back in on another too confuse them.

Greg means - 'the freeway' by 'slabbing it'

Must be a QLD thing, I've never heard of it.
Only thing I know that's called a slab (in SA) is a 24 pack of beer cans, so slabbing would be drinking cans of beer......lol
-
if i understand it right i actually think it is more of a FarRiders thing?

They use it a bit - slab as in slab of concrete - freeway.

May be a high chance of rain, but how much is the question? Down here we have had high chance of rain for a while but patchy and not much in it. We can talk/complain/tell war stories once we get there :eat :beer :wht11

True, but I suppose there are not many concrete freeways in Australia outside of the Hume in NSW?? Slab it would have meant how many slabs of beer you needed for the trip in Victoria, as opposed to just a few 'travellers' (bottle/stubbie/can of beer for the road while travelling).
