tj,

I was thinking more of a shunt from behind would be terrible for your back.  I'd be covering it with padding or re-engineering it for rounded corners.

Thinking about it.  Covering it with padding would also help keep it cool, reduce fuel expansion.

TJ,

not sure he would be of any help, but there was a pommie who ran Triple B. Taffie use to make gear for work. Web page has them at 1/13 Josephine St, Loganholme. Ph. 3806 2262.

Agreed, I was thinking that the cover would do some of that and also provide a backrest opportunity  :beer

I've just sent a private message to a mate who has a business at Geebung to see if his fabricator might be able to help you.  Let you know soon.

TJ what about John Moorehouse or his brother?  They do bike seats as you would know from FarRiders so he is good with padding and thinking in a different way.

Triple B was probably never a real chance as they have just got a new contract with QPS for the vests and accoutrement pouches that attach, so they are pretty busy leading into the G20.

If you're still stuck, a saddlemaker might be able to design something in leather.
Especially if you made up a pattern for him to work from.  He could make his own measurements to allow for seams etc.

G'day Tack, yep noticed all the blue stuff on his website.  I think the Moorehouse brothers are flat out with their seat business.  I have a couple of lines that I will look into tomorrow and see how it goes.

cheers
