Title: John Moorehouse - Ergo Seats....
Post by: Diesel on February 02, 2012, 02:25:30 PM
John just called me and reported that he has had a little 'ticker' trouble and is laid up for a couple of weeks - Doc's orders!

Again, just appealing to any Members dealing with Ergo Custom Motorcycle Seats to understand there will be delays with your work while John is laid up.

He is going to call me when it's biz as usual.

From all of us here at OzSTOC John - get well soon mate, and take it eeeeeasy!        :well

Cheers

I have my Moorehouse seat. It has been lowered a little from standard by the original owner but am thinking about raising it up a bit.  It can wait though after a few more rides.

After last sundays ride I gotta admit.............I'm thinkin about it as well.

Never really noticed it before but after 560kls of twisty roads I was certainly beginning to feel it...............The only thing really holding me up is being without a seat for any period of time, and of course John Moorehouse being unwell!............. Get well soon John, not for me, but for your family, and the industry!!

Thats the next thing on my list....a moorhouse seat....then some risers

Look at the date, mate.  That was BG- Before Goldwing.  When he was a humble ST1300 rider and not skiting every post about his flight attendant's good looks and cooking.

My Bad. But what's with that Brian. Instead of getting getting a comfy seat, you get a new bike? Well I guess you did end up with a comfy seat.

Hi Gents,

I have been on the phone with John today, he now works from home, he had to give up the shop due to a couple of those health things that get us from time to time, i have added all his contact details to our preferred suppliers list:

http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=1935.0 (http://ozstoc.com/index.php?topic=1935.0)

he has asked that if you can email or send him a text message is the best way to get hold of him, as he is busier than ever!

Cheers

Hey all st1100 riders who are thinking of getting the seats done by John,
I have Just got my single seat done and have LEFT my Double seat with John so that any of our members will not be left without a ride.
i.e. order your seat, when it arrives return your old one back to John for the next person.
Now it does not have the 2 rubbers fitted to it (one each side underneath) so if any one has any spares from a damaged seat please let us know.

regards
Tipsy

Tipsy, is there much of a difference  in comfort? I am 6:1 and I don't want to loose any height between seat and foot pegs as I have a gimpy leg. Most seat mods I've seen cut the seat lower.cheers :blk13

I have a moorehouse that is marked as being 1/2 inch lower, and it definitely is.  If you ask for standard or higher height that should be what you get.
