Title: Calling Tasmania
Post by: Biggles on July 31, 2014, 07:59:04 PM
Hey Couch, are you Taswegians still south of us or halfway to Unzud?

Only one posting in the past two days!  Most unlike you!

From what I see on the weather report much of our south island has been hammered these past couple of days.

Not the best for riding, I'd imagine...     :eek

We've had gale force winds at times but only light rain, I spent a few hours worrying about the 20 Solar Panels that I have sitting up on my roof but come morning and they were all intact, and so was the roof, thank heavens!! :grin

I reckon a wind from the other direction under them would see them all in Strahan.
Luckily, all your strong winds are westerlies, I would think.

The panels face due north and most of our strong winds come from west, s/west, and if they haven't gone by now, I don't think they ever will....touch wood!

The people who installed the panels did a great job according to the inspector who checked out the job and the panels themselves have a very secure locking system, but I guess that wouldn't stop them taking off with the entire roof :eek
