I've just fitted some LED Brake/Tail light globes and Rear Indicator Globes, which are a little brighter than standard globes.

Each puts out about 25% more lumens than a standard incandescent globe to help make me a little more visible.

Just for added info sake, SupaCheap Auto carry a large range of LED replacement lights.
For those living in the city you might save postage and be able to look at the merchandise close up. Also SCA have a loyalty incentive card.
I'm sure Repco and Autobarn would also have the LEDs.

Be aware that if you have MC Cruise control, the LED brake light globes will stop it working.
I am waiting for the workaround from MC Cruise as I type.

Thanks Grumpy, but I have no MC Cruise. However the LED rear indicator globes caused the flash rate to shoot up to an illegal 160 per minute, so I've refitted the OEM incandescent globes. ReVision LED have been very prompt with some advice, and to give me a refund, since the globes are not "fit for purpose".

You can get a replacement electronic flasher can, that brings the flash rate back to normal, all LED bulbs have this effect, as they draw less current than incandescent bulbs.

Or you can add a load resistor to the Indicator globes and stay with the standard flasher unit.

Replacing the flasher unit with an electronic one or adding a resistor, were both suggestions made by ReVisionLED. However, since I have achieved my objective of brighter brake and tail lights by replacing those globes, I decided to take up ReVision's offer of a refund for the indicator globes.

I'm going to remove the LED Brake/Tail Light globes and refit the OEM globes. I had some useful feedback from Abe when he was following me at night. While the LED globes are brighter, because of their different shape they do not interface properly with the reflector, and show up as a single bright dot, rather that a spread of light over the face of the lens. It seems they did not improve my visibility, but made it worse, so it's back to OEM globes. Life is a learning curve.

That's probably why the automobile manufacturers install arrays of LEDs.
It's become quite the fashion.
I know they have a very long life, but I'm starting to see traffic lights with LEd arrays having dead LEDs (black spots).
Dead LED. Could be a good name for a punk rock band.
