I used to use a String Hammock with a sleeping bag.

There is always either a tree or a post  to tie one end of the hammock to.

The other end can be tied to the bike.

I do remember one night tying off between 2 trucks Bullbars, knowing I would be gone before they rose.

Dunno how you could sleep.

If I used the bike option I know I'd lay awake wondering if the bike was going to fall over, possibly on me.

Might work tying it to the back of the bike pointing away from you.

A hammock is certainly not for me.   I'm happy in a decent size tent with space for my junk, a nice thick self inflate mattress, and a down sleeping bag, all of which happily fit on the ST.    :thumb

Bike on centre stand and tied to gearsack rack.
Which by the way I'm still looking for a Gearsack or similar rack

No hammock for me either, I can sleep for hours on my Russell seat  :hatwave
