Title: Super Daughter Gets Captaincy
Post by: ST.George on August 26, 2014, 10:28:12 PM: Hey STriders just thought u would like to share a special moment with us: Our beautiful daughter Danika achieved her latest goal by being selected by staff & fellow students 2 be the next girl captain at her selective high school in Wollongong.

She's such a passionate worker in everything she does and in her almost 17 years has won numerous awards in piano, ballet, theatre sports and AFL. Danika also does volunteer play with autistic children twice a month.

And she does all this with a bizarre sense of humour. Mother Terese and I R SO PROUD!

Here we r at Cordeaux Dam (only a short ride from the Gong) about a year ago:

Sadly our our attention is usually drawn to the negative things young people do while the majority of young women and men toil away achieving great things that we never hear of. Thanks for sharing with us!

You clearly are a young woman of incredible intellect and taste. You must be. You play AFL!

Hopefully you will confirm my thoughts by following the Swanees!!

Post by: ST.George on August 28, 2014, 10:59:46 PM: :clap STupendous replies, thanx guys - there are plenty of good people in this club and not just the generous well wishers who responded to this thread - who understand that our latter years are going to be radically affected by the coming generations of leaders - so we better take care of them and inspire them the best we can, so we can look 4ward to our mature years with confidence and amazement at their achievements. And of course, all future road laws should favour motorcyclists.
