They were repairing lighting rods that were damaged in a big storm Rio had…..on the statue of Christ the Redeemer.
I could only watch about 30 seconds before my tummy gave out  :fp

I can not help wondering, is there a doco.  on how that Statue was constructed ?

I think I would have my tools tethered as well or carry lots of spares.
the absail would be cool but that bloody climb back would be a pain.
any way its only a statue. nothing of any significance really  :grin
