Title: The next step...
Post by: Biggles on October 06, 2014, 11:02:02 PM
Old dudes in this Forum (me included) often talk about how it's getting hard to wrangle these heavy bikes.

This might just be the solution that lets you keep your great ST, but avoid the dreaded "drop".

The "Endeavor Trike kit":

WYSIWYG.  Don't ask me whether it leans.  I can only hope so, because that's what's wrong with the Spyder.

But I'm none-the-wiser.

Nice idea, but If the ST becomes a burden, i think I would go with a lighter bike, perhaps the CFM from the rally? Otherwise might as well get in the car and put the windows down :grin...just sayin`.. :wht11

is this the guy in the USA who started out with a leaning system fitted to a yammy v max as a prototype. was selling them. was looking at harley version. this some years ago. $8k resonable when compared to 1 front 2 rear conversions.
woman at work rode all her life now 50?. now on can am for medical reasons, very happy she is out there again, how do you argue with that.
I always thought the true 3 wheeler was made by morgan, copied lots. remember the blue JZR at blackheath. not good stuck in traffic beside a truck

I am a bit of a 3 wheeler fan. There are lots of small business making trikes/conversions.
This is one which may be more suitable for "us"  IT TILTS

The Tilting Motorworks option seems a good concept, and obviously handles OK at over 200km/h.  With a bit of bodywork it would look great, but at $10,000USD (Plus fitting), it's a bit steep.  :-[

here is a link to a copy of the harley patent for a tilt 3 wheeler

http://thekneeslider.com/harley-davidson-leaning-trike-patent-application/ (http://thekneeslider.com/harley-davidson-leaning-trike-patent-application/)

it would not be impossible to do it oneself.  having followed various projects it is not impossible to get things approved.  main lesson was do homework, talk to them 1st
