BMW bars fit and are 1" higher, Pezzz has mine to try one day, the issues are length of brake and clutch hoses, also for me at 170cm my hands blocked the mirrors, previous owner who was around 6'3" fitted them and they served his purpose.

These ones from Motorcycle Larry are only 1"up and 3/4"back but you would be surprised how much difference they make. I bought a set a few years back (the existing cover fits right back on) and have never regretted it. http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_3&sort=20a&page=1 (http://www.motorcyclelarry.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_3&sort=20a&page=1)

looks like the brake line is long enough if the holdin  clip is removed.

Yup!, the installation instructions require this clip to be disconnected.
I have had no problems in the three years or so they have been fitted.

Cliff, the link is for the st13, did you install that plate option on a 13 or an 11?
