Once you have tried HIDs there is no going back. Unfortunately HID driving lights are on the expensive side for something compact and good.

Well reckon you must of made it home by around 2.30am. and well done.
Me being a lazy "P***K" would of just rode up to Cairns to do the 1600. Hmmmmmmmmmm 130/140 on the Bruce, throttle lock on, tapping out tunes on the Tank Bag

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.

I made it with 1 hr 26mins to spare. Last leg of 370kms was cccold and therefore tiresome. It took a couple of extra stops to warm up and freshen up.

Body knew it had worked by then, so it was a struggle to get on the bike for the last 95 clicks. I'll write a better report soon with couple of pics, my ride plan and a map.

The first 1500 km were perfect in terms of hydration, awareness and well-being.

ST never missed a beat. And doing 100kph on roads that beg you to do 130+ SUCKS!       >:(     :-\

Now to submit ALL the paperwork.

Thanks again, Diesel

Congratulations young fella!  If we had decent speed limits on our roads such distances would be a lot easier, and less night travel required so safer.
