This beautiful poem caught my ear and hasn't let go since. Indeed our best friends are the dogs, and I am thankful for them every time I pat my daughter's dog Max and see the honest love in his eyes.
A beautiful little poem celebrating our canine friends.

Yes they bring so much joy. We have three a cocker spaniel, a golden retriever and a Great Dane.
( sounds like a joke doesn't it. Three dogs walk into a bar......)
Our poor old Goldie Sally is almost at the end and she has been a wonderful friend and companion for over thirteen years.
It doesn't matter where I am at home if I look around she will be there keeping me company.
It will be very hard to lose her. But I guess it only hurts so much because they mean so much to us.

That's so true Todd. I know they're only dogs, but they're also an extension of the family, and it's just as hard when one of them leaves us, as it is when one of our own passes on

All three of them are lying next to my bed right now too scared to move because of a severe thunderstorm we are having right now. They would be up here with me in a flash if I let them!

We have a 6 month old golden retriever. So much joy. Little Velcro dog

The goldies are the best dogs! Well apart from the hair.
We had Sally and another male Toby . We lost Toby and he was replaced with the two other knuckleheads we have now.
