Post by: West Aussie Glen on January 18, 2015, 02:44:39 PM
Can anybody tell me if this is a good price and how long the longest sections are?

Hi Glen,

The longest (fitted to 1300) is 750mm x 140mm.

I have  the mirror and fairing deflectors fitted, BUT, would l should removed them  in summer (too lazy) to  increase air flow on me.

I thought someone on the forum was thinking about selling theirs, now who was that  :think1

Partzilla has it for $175.87 but the difference in postage might bring it into line.  So it's about RRP for the US. I can't comment on the price locally, it's not on the accessories list in Australia and my local dealer won't even talk about them.

Actually I have a set of fairing deflectors that I removed from my bike. Part of the reason I removed it was that I lost the RHS mirror cowl at one stage and had to remove the deflector from the LHS mirror cowl to balance the look, as I was doing it I thought why not remove all the deflectors and see how it goes. I am now quite happy with the "downgrade" so the complete lower deflector set is available for a small fee.
The main reason I installed then in the first place was because SWMBO was getting buffeted by the wind, but she rarely rides with me now.
