CANCELLED due to bad weather

2070a Mt Mee Rd

Times:

Start - I'm joining some work colleagues for a ride from the Shell at Nudgee at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am departure.

Estimated travelling time to the Pitstop Cafe is 1 to 1.25 hours.

Cafe - approx 10:00 to 10:30 am

The colleagues are planning in heading back via Samford, but I plan on going via Campbell Pocket road and Wamuran.

Anyone who wants to join us is welcome.  Please let me know if you are coming as they may call it off if the weather turns bad.

I'm a possible starter just to go for a ride after a long drought of rides.
Probably a poor choice of words, since I've now guaranteed it will rain (as forecast).

I think I'll go regardless of rain,  because I've been trying to get to see the Pitstop Cafe for quite a while.

Can't recommend it highly enough.  I can even show you an alternative route to get there, apart from Campbell Pocket Road.

I think they are planning going the via Clear Mountain and Dayboro and back via Samford.

80% chance of 15 to 45 mm rain for Saturday for Dayboro.
Sounds moist.      :'(

That is a similar forecast as today and that is what wet weather gear is for.  :grin

Departing home in wet weather gear to go riding for enjoyment hints at masochism.      :p

Note my intentional qualification: enjoyment

That is, going for a ride to enjoy, not endure.
For me, riding in the rain, even with our amazing weather protection, is not as liberating as riding without rain.

My sailings been cancelled, so you might see me there if this weather lets up tomorrow. I'm afraid I follow Biggles' ideologies about leaving home when its raining  :wink1

It's been cancelled/postponed too.
If it had been occasional showers I'd be fine. But just going to work and back today my boots are wet so I'll concede defeat.
