Well hasn't the Custom OzSTOC Jacket been a roller coaster ride for us all, the concept was the brain child of Streak as he wished to complete his leadership role with OzSTOC with a bang, and I'm sure you will all agree his vision to bring to the club a garment of this quality has been an outstanding success and a credit to the passion Streak has for OzSTOC :clap Streak and a few other members worked with Mark from Zen Motorcycle Gear Australia to research and develop the incredible garment that we now have, without one complaint or criticism of the products quality and features. :thumbsup
Unfortunately the vast majority of Jackets are well under the size that members ordered after correctly suppling their measurements using the sizing chart supplied from the manufacture in Pakistan. We believe but cannot confirm that the manufacture used the sizes requested as an outside parameter of the Jacket and worked inwards.....not from the requested sizes outwards like all other clothing manufacturers :||||
After considerable effort we have been able to confirm with a number of members trying on various sized Jackets and further measurements that we believe the jackets for most but not necessarily all members need to exchange up by approximately 2 sizes....(If you have an M you would most likely need a XL etc)
We believe out of the 82 Jackets ordered and delivered to our members we will be able to fit out between 40 and 50 members with around 30 to 40 members needing to have their Jacket re-manufactured. Be assured if you paid for a Custom OzSTOC Jacket and you still want a Jacket you will get a Custom OzSTOC Jacket if not now but in the future.
The brutal truth of the exchanges between Zen and the Manufacturer in Pakistan has had the following result.....The manufacture will remake the approximately 35 Jackets once sizing has been established and Mark at Zen Motorcycle Australia will himself pay for the cost of reproduction.....less a very generous $10 discount per Jacket from the Manufacturer for THEIR mistake !!! :|||| :||||
Here is the procedure that we will utilise after much deliberation to facilitate the inter- member exchange of Jackets if you need to exchange.
I'm going to start a new thread on the forum, we will advise the quantity of jackets and the sizes originally ordered by Zen at the top of the page......a member in needed of exchange will post to the thread in this formate only:
Forum Name:
Current Jacket Size:
Required Jacket Size:
State/Territory:
This may seem extreme.....but NO other discussion or interaction will take place in this thread other than further information by a moderator or it will be deleted, we need this thread to stay pure and easy to follow. General discussion can remain in the Jacket thread already running. :law
When you see a Jacket size appear that you wish to pursue YOU send that member a PM with your polite request......please contact one of our moderators if you require assistance.
The Jacket is posted (if needed) to the receiving member by Australia post and a copy of the receipt retained by the sender for reimbursement by Mark at Zen if you wish. Mark is going to reimburse, again from his own pocket up to $16 to each member who purchased a jacket and now needs to post to another owner.
( The leadership team and Moderators of OzSTOC have elected not to claim their postage costs from Mark at Zen Motorcycles who is a fellow member, preferred supplier and major sponsor of our National Rally each year and for all the above stated reasons......but you are entitled to the refund should you wish to claim )
When the member who is SENDING the Jacket to another member has committed to the transaction they need to send the following information to me; ST2UP (Chris)
Senders, Forum Name:
Senders, First & Surname:
The Jacket Size sent:
Receivers, Forum Name:
Receivers, First & Surname:
Postage Paid amount: (Only if claiming)
The SENDER ONLY is to send this above information to:
SMS mbl 0428792425 OR email to admin@ozstoc.com
I will constantly update the exchange thread on the forum to show which Jackets are still available and keep a spread sheet open and running with all the transaction information to collate the process.
This transcript will be posted to the forum and our Facebook page and emailed to ALL members who purchased a Jacket to give all members equal opportunity to exchange, but you will need to log onto the forum to post your details.
We will allow this exchange format to remain open for about 1 week, after that time the OzSTOC leadership team will step in and disperse the remaining jackets as we see fit to the members who have not yet exchanged by contacting the member holding the Jacket to be moved on. Once we have as many members fitted into the Jackets as possible we will ask the remaining non fitting Jacket holders to send their Jacket to the OzSTOC shop for resale to other small members and go onto the list for re-manufacturing OR they can be given a FULL refund from Mark at Zen or possibly a store credit arrangement providing they have passed their Jacket onto another member who has paid for a Jacket.
Please understand this exchange is to be carried out in the most impartial manner possible by all concerned......to be frank we don't care if you don't know the member that has requested your Jacket or don't regard them as your best mate.....ALL members of OzSTOC whether a well known identity or an unknown but still fellow member are entitled to be treated with the respect they deserve as a member of OzSTOC.
I hope you understand the frank manner we need this exchange to take place, and we do understand many members have made arrangements already with fellow club members once the exchange option is announced, but please we need this to be a fair and transparent exchange for all concerned.
Regards
Team OzSTOC

Their are still Jackets available out there....I have had 3 emails tonight from members with Medium to 3XL Jackets that haven't been contacted yet :popcorn
-
In a conversation with Mark from Zen this morning he confirms he will accept NEW Custom OzSTOC Jacket orders when he places the re-order for the members left without Jackets from the exchange.
If you could indicate by PM to me or email to admin@ozstoc.com your Expression of Interest in purchasing another Jacket or your first Custom OzSTOC Jacket we will attend to your Order and Sizing after we complete this round of exchanges.
We have had nothing but praise for the quality and features of the Jacket.....naturally the sizing issue WILL NOT be a concern on future production :like

Just a heads up....we have had a sort after 7XL become available due to it not fitting a member. The member remarked that it was a great fit around the chest/waist but to snug across the shoulders....we decided the fairest way to handle the absorption of jacket was to put the names of the members who requested a 6XL or 7XL in a hat.
The new new owner has already been advised by phone..... ;-*

G'day STriders,
2 exchange 3XL jackets turned up coz the message to stop the second one coming didn't reach the sender in time, but never mind coz the 2nd 3XL will go to A2Z who also lives in the Illawarra Gong zone. When he returns from the U.S. in March, he will try it out.
I'm a real admirer of the jacket's design and it has been worth the wait thru the myriad of machinations that have been orchestrated by ST2UP and Zen and others to get as many of the original jackets to satisfy original orders.
The zip vent system is wonderful and the other day on the way home from a scenic fresh air ride to one of the many lookouts in the Gong area I sucked my guts in and the vents flooded the jacket with fresh air that I have never experienced b4 on a motorsickel, (that just made me think - ouch - I can't ever remember riding a motorsickel with just a t-shirt on - and I had years of riding in BananaLand) but that doesn't mean a lot really coz my memory is so suss anyway). So if I keep working hard at my latest landscaping project at home, a score of those waistline centimetres might be burnt off and I won't have 2 suck in so much to get that wonderful windrush. Who knows, I might get 2 2woomba yet despite my long distance woes.
Another thing I really like about the jacket is the ability to use just one rubber coated stud to secure a pocket with my reading glasses, mob phone, keys, wallet etc and when needed r so easy 2 get at quickly. The zip can be reliably left open. Mind u, thé other day I thought I put the dragon keys in one of those pockets without checking that the zip was open and later when on the way home a lovely lady came over and said "Are these yours dear?" and I immediately recognised them and even tho I have taken precautions against the mishap of lost keys I need to make sure the pocket zip is actually open.
But what a gr8 jacket. Just have a 2XL to find a home 4 now. Otherwise, "It's off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of OZstoc".
