Title: General discussion
Post by: winston66 on February 03, 2015, 08:22:07 PM
 :runyay WOW: :hatwave

Guess what followed me home last week.
Got bored before Christmas so got a few presents
Had just picked them up from Customs Perth
Five in all .
They are 150cc.  air cooled,Five speed box , 17 inch front tire, 14 inch rear.
I am hoping to pass them on for around the $2100-00 mark.
There will be more photos to follow.

ADR compliances already in place?

Looks like a fun bush basher, in which case I guess it doesn't need rego.

Hi Biggles,
You are correct again,
They are accepted by Customs and the RTA. as dirt bikes and as suitable for Off road use only , as such they will not be accepted as capable to be road registered.
I figure that some young bloods hereabouts  will be interested in them.
Hope their dads  have got some long arms so as to reach down into their pockets.

You can post the pics in here, in the same way you did in your request.

Thanks Brock.
I guess that it is pretty obvious that I am not very good at this computer stuff.
I must be doing a lot of stuff wrong, and probably repeating the same mistakes again and again.
However I will keep on trying and hopefully will eventually get it right.
I just hope that it does not take me too long to figure this complicated stuff out.

Its not too hard Winston,

You poat a reply into the thread you want as usual, and under the typing box to the left is the +attachents and other options thing.  Browse to the pic you want, select it and post. It works easily from the phone and tablet, but sometimes not so well from a PC.

If this works, apic of my pug should appear.  This is on the PC, and it worked....

... so..... that makes it a Pan Pan Pug Post pic per PC?

For you maybe but I've never ever been able to add anything via the attachments option........just as well the photo bucket option works.....lol

It is interesting to see that i am not the only one to experience some degree of difficulty in posting whilst using my laptop running windows 7 profesional 64 bit. I wonder what the remedy for this is.

Hi Kev,
You obviously have a better understanding of this computer stuff etc than I have and can ever hope to fit into my poor little over taxed brain.
I just wish that some times some of the necessary procedures would stick in my head where I could find it again.
Incidentally I really like and look forward to the variety and the contents of your posts.

I use to run the 32 bit version and it was a no go for me.

I'm now on WIN 8.1 64 Bit and it's still a no go. I took note of your image size and reduced a picture down in size to match and the only thing that came on the preview screen was the word "test" which I entered.

Well, that worked.........though my cam takes HD pictures @ 2816 X 1584 I generally reduce to a 1000 x 563 for photo bucket.

:thumb  As long as the attachment image is less than 1200KB in size

Why don't you use the photobucket app or another photo sharing/app site like imgur.com

Then just past the link in between [ img][ /img] tags.

Rather then trying to attach it via this site and having to deal with the "Restrictions: maximum individual size 1200KB" restrictions

Marcus ,
Thanks for the tip about photobucket.
I will have to check that stuff out.
My brain can only cope with so much extra stuff , so I try to concentrate and learn how to master the use of the applicable forum's procedures. Cos I figure that a proper set up of a site should be easy to use and member friendly, as we are not all , and particularly myself. in any way equal to  the Gurus , for instance yourself, Brock ,Kev, and Pezzz , as well as a lot of other very knowledgeable people.
Unfortunately for me as I an stuck here in a fairly isolated place ,(by choice) I might add. It  is  quite difficult for me to upgrade my personal skills with this involved and technical speeky stuff .
Thanks again every one for your interest and invaluable tips.
Cheers, Winston66

Some of us know so much, that it can take us a while to find the stored information.

I will put together a small slide show of how to use and post images from Photobucket.
It might help some members who are unsure of 'how to~'

Kev       :hatwave     ++

That  video is great, Thanks.
Is there any way that I can slow down the animations so that my tiny brain can have time to understand what you are telling (me), us ?
It seems that I can only absorb one action at a time.
I guess that I am more than a bit slow on the uptake and the understanding of your  instructional video .
Which for me is classed( as Rocket science  )

 :hatwaveHi Kev,
Thanks , but I like the Einstein bit, I think that it adds a lot of class to the exercise, and I appreciate the joke and your interest in helping out this aged biker.
