Title: Ranking of the World's Air Forces
Post by: JuST Peter on February 06, 2015, 04:39:33 AM
Great photo presentation put together by Israelis. Some of the rankings may surprise you.

… China did not even make the top ten.   Note what the US spends to train each pilot.

Interesting numbers shown…….aircraft / personel

I like the emblem for the Royal Swedish Air Force, it looks like a smiley face :wink1

It costs about the same to train our RAAF pilots as well. Australia wont be in there, as wel dont have anywhere near the number of aircraft or personell.  (but we are better and sneakier)

Good thing they dont compare submarines... the Kiwis are a long way down the list.

They aren't even fitted with Sheep-to-Shore communications!

Very interesting analysis.
Thanks for finding and sharing that- the Swedes were the surprise.  I guess the spend their defence budget on hi-tech machinery rather than foot soldiers.
