As we plan heading home to the land of the long white cloud, I'm going to be selling my beloved Norma Jean.
2000PY ST1100, with pillion seat, (first reg in 2002), white, full Police switches on bars, full Police loom wound up under the seat, and working spot lights fitted under the wing mirrors.
29L aftermarket topbox fitted, will take one helmet. Power adapter fitted in fairing pocket. Also on/off switch for spotlights fitted in fairing pocket.
SOLD!!!
80 mm higher "screensforbikes" screen fitted, not tinted nor vented. Headlight protector fitted.
139,000 km, is getting her 140,000 service next week and I will have a new Gates T325 timing belt fitted to her and an RWC issued. Registered until early July 2015.
New front tire with RWC, new rear tire in November 2014.
She got a polish last night and she looks absolutely lovely. I'm a bit biased though.
Located in Mackay, QLD.
Have sold the wife's car so am prepared to take a little less for the ST, bottom line is now $3,200. Sale does not include camera holder mounted on screen or AirHawk seat pad.

Very realistic price in that condition.
An astute buyer could put her in the shed and she'll comfortably keep that value as a solid investment.
Or even better- put another hundred thou kays on her for the price of tyres, oil and fuel.
-
Thought it was realistic Biggles, don't want her sitting around for six months. Think that'll attract someone sooner. Thanks for your input.

:think1 :think1 Only question is do I need a 3rd ST (7th bike) sitting at my place.. Missus would love it with a trike rear end.. wonder how much that would cost?

$3,200 for starters, now :thumbs

Updated, new front tire fitted when issued with a RWC, both front and rear tires are Angel GTs.
$3200 and she's yours.

WOW :eek

Finally (hopefully) just sold my V Strom, hopefully collected tomorrow........ Interesting replacement possibly
-
Well, she sold to a friend of a friend. He thought she'd be the perfect bike for he and his wife to go riding on together.
Got $3000 for her, a little less than I wanted but I'd been warned by the RWC issuer that the brake pads were a little on the worn side and would need replacement soon.
Took her for a ride Saturday morning and lost another 3 points and $227. Goodbye Norma Jean!

That's great news Steve, not about the speeding ticket but selling Norma Jean :like
-
Bummer about the ticket and not reaching the price you wanted :'( However I've always found I feel better (in the long run) selling to someone I know will appreciate the vehicle, even if it is a for less money ;-*
Congrats on the sale Steve :clap
Cheers

Just three points! So you didn't wind it right out?
Congrats on the sale. Of course an OzSTOC card went with it...
-
Terrific now I've got Elton Johns candle in the wind on repeat in my mind.... Goodbye Norma Jean .... Though I never really knew you at all.... You had the grace to hold yourself.... While those around you crawled....

Farewell Norma Jean
From the young man in the 42nd row
Who saw you as more than sexual
More than just Marilyn Munroe...
Actually, I was sitting on 9 points, and three makes .... um ... ah ... 12 !
Luckily I'll be leaving before 28 days and the loss of licence takes effect. Don't know if I've had any points older than 2 years that would have been dropped off.
