Hello to all in ozstoc. I ride a 94 ST1100 that has 123,000km on the clock that I bought from  Newcastle last December. It needed a fair bit of attention and love to get back on the road but has now turned into the best bike I've ever owned (this is number 33 for me). I am retired and live in Tamworth, NSW, and if anybody is passing and would like a cuppa give me a call on 0401507559. Cheers, Steve.   :bl11

Hey STeveo, welcome!

Good to have another NSWelshman on board. These QLD'rs and WAussies are alltogether too full of themselves (probably as a consequence of living in such backward states) and we need all the numbers we can get!

Also great to have a STeed saved from an early demise. They are great bikes, and all jokes aside, this is a great group of people, very knowledgeable about these bikes and good value.

Cheers, Shaun

G'day STeveo - great to have you aboard - seems like you've got quite a few stories from over the years there.

Thanks for the 'cuppa' invite - might take you up on that one day soon.     :thumbs

As you'll see on your travels around this forum - there are plenty of 'how to's', mods and bright ideas to feast upon - so add any gem of wisdom you think will help this mad lot.

There's plenty of polls for you to have an anonymous 'vote' on an opinion, or add a comment from your experience if you'd like.

Enjoy!       :hatwave

Cheers, Diesel

Welcome Aboard Mate,
Grab a Deck chair, something cold, and settle in, this lot are great fun, have fantastic experience and knowledge kicking around, they have all taught me lots about my bike so far, and i am continuing to learn, so don't hesitate to ask questions!

Hi Steve.
Watch out for the Banana benders. Especially the Sand Groper who thinks he is one. :nahnah
We in the West are social and jovial.

As Steak said Mate, pull up a seat, let the hair down and have a laugh.

The one thing that unites us here is the love of our STeads.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Re 'let my hair down', too late it's all long gone (and to think I had to tie it in a rubber band under my helmet to stop it getting tangled). Re the bike list, mmm maybe two weeks. Just bought number 34, a Honda XL100 for parts for my 'museum piece' restoration of my older brothers SL125. Am a member of the Tamworth Area Group of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club and only have 11, no 12 bikes at the moment, not all complete or going. They include;Honda ST1100 (of course) 1994, FT500 + spares bike 1982, SL125 x two 1972, XL100 1973, C102 super cub (50cc step through) 1963, Kawasaki KR250 1984, Yamaha 250 Virago 1994, AG100 1975, DT/YZ/TZ modified drag bike 1976, Maico 250 Enduro (19,000 km owned from new). At the moment the ST,FT, Virago and drag bike are the only ones going, the others are being worked on or awaiting restoration. Where I've been on what for another day. Steve :bl11

I still have my 78 GS1000 suzuki with plans to put in the gasket, valve stem etc kit sometime.  It has a 1080 kit in it with custom cams and a rave style 4-1, Akront alloy spoked wheels and other bits and pieces.

Yeah, welcome to the asylum, mate.

I lived in Barraba for 7 years, so know Tamworth pretty well.

I guess you've got velcro on your numberplate with that number of "going" bikes.   8)

Also guess you've got a very big shed and either no missus or an angel or a keen pillion.

No velcro, but what a good idea. Only ST on full rego, others on historic rego. No missus, she left 20+ years ago. Got into car racing as I could take my kids and they raced when old enough. Now kids have thier own kids and I can concerntrate on my bikes. :bl11
